Currently on hold, or at least officially not further developed, Adobe presented already back in 2016 a software called #VoCo which could create #deepfake voice recordings with just a little bit of pre-recorded sound sample from a person.

Nobody knows how far are technic like that would be, nearly three years later.

This Then more we use the internet and then better we use technology for creating so called news, then harder it will get to understand the difference between #RealNews, #InternetMemes, FakeNews and the new league rising on the horizon called #DeekFake.

#DeepFake will change the understanding of “news” in general, because we won’t be easily able anymore between a real happing and a purely digitally produced one.

For somebody who does not know the persons displayed (well), it is hard to tell that the video is fake at all.

Such #memes will rise and it will be harder, also for professional and news creators as well as journalists to tell what source they can trust or can’t.

Samples of such deep fakes will be collected here, for a better understanding and comparison, as well as for my own documentation how the (news) world changes in that direction.
